Well I have been planning to try pesto sauce for a really long time now but finally after a long wait I prepared it . And though I planned to use a little of it and wanted to keep rest for using later, I ended up using all of it for pull apart garlic bread and pest sauce pasta I prepared for the Sunday lunch. Well it was Mother's day and one would expect a mom to take leave from kitchen I refused to do so and decided to have a Italian comfort lunch at home . So much for the love of cooking.
This sauce is very versatile and you can use it for sandwich, pasta, dip to start with. Traditionally pesto sauce is made using pine nuts which is rare to find and a bit expensive too! So some recipes use walnuts instead. You can make a little extra and store refrigerated which can be used for next couple of days.
